Only on Earth
Directed by
This journey to the mountains of southern Galicia takes place during a hot summer of continued drought and rampant wildfires. For centuries herds of wild horses have roamed the countryside, where they reduce the inflammable underbrush and thus limit the spread of wildfire. Their number is falling, however. In their place, countless wind turbines churn the fog. The point of view seems to be that of the horses, which, together with a wildfire expert, a young cowboy, a veterinarian, and a family of farmers, invite us to reflect on the tenuous balance of nature and the relationship between humans and animals.
