Okraina

Philipp Safronov is a farmer working on his family's farm, but this peaceful existence is violently interrupted when a mysterious group takes his land to exploit its oil fields. Safronov then organises a band of fearless peasants. One by one they track down the crooks, leaving behind a trail of crime until the explosive final confrontation. The stark black-and-white images give the film the harsh setting of classic film noir.
