Nunca Máis. La marea nera

Directed by

Nunca Màis is the narration of the accident of Prestige, the oil tanker that 13th November 2002 sank off the northwest coast of Galicia causing more than 40 million gallons (around 135,000 tons) of oil split a day, threatening one of the worst environmental disasters in history. The accident has put around 1,000 fishermen temporarily out of work. A black tide, a Chernobyl sea, invaded more than 600 kilometres of shore. Even now from the wrecked tanker are leaking huge amounts of oil not allowing the coastline cleaning. The shots follow the black tide through an alternating cut which goes from surreal moments to experts and Galician people interviews.
