Nature, le nouvel eldorado de la finance

Directed by

An investigation into the commercialization of the natural world. Protecting the planet seems to have become big business, with companies promoting new environmental markets such as species banking, in which investors purchase vast swaths of land rich in endangered species to sell "nature credits." Many respected economists believe that the best way to protect nature is to put a price on it. Others, conversely, fear that this model could lead to companies having a financial interest in the extinction of a species and that the nature credit market is destined to collapse. The stakes are so high; what guarantees do we have that our natural heritage is truly protected?
