My Hottest Year on Earth

Directed by

2014 was probably the hottest year in history. A Danish weather man quit his job to travel around the globe. He wanted to meet some of the people whose lives have been turned upside down due to recent extreme weather events. The journey begins in the Philippines right after Haiyan, the worst typhoon to ever hit the islands, and continues to the UK, which experienced the worst flooding in centuries. Next stop is Bangladesh with millions of climate refugees. Last stop on the journey is Florida where the rising sea level poses a serious threat to one of the richest countries in the world.
