Robert Redford's The Horse Whisperer was followed by the appearance of many "whisperers", a kind of trainers who care much about the animals' psychology. This documentary clearly explains the whisperers' method, showing 4 trainers: Monty Roberts, Doctor Robert Miller, Tom Dorrance, Pat Parelli. These pioneers' practice and philosophy, as well as their discovery, owe much to a scientific discipline, the Ethology, which studies the animals behaviour in the natural environment.
