Le acque

Directed by

This film explores stretches of glacier-born water, lakes and rivers, as the by-ways of civilization. There's the Po River, and the people that inhabit the famous cities along its course, which leads to the Po River Delta and its Wildlife Refuge. The Arno and the Tiber lead us to the discovery of Florence and Rome, respectively. Those two rivers reflect diverse developments in history and art, absolute values sculpted in their bridges, aqueducts and fountains. Le acque is part of the five-film series L'italia infinita.
