Renato Zucchelli is the last of metropolitan shepherds. He broke with his middle class background and took the bold alternative of nomadic pasturalism. In a tale suspended between fable and documentary, he wanders the city with his herd of sheep, through residential neighborhoods, past cement factories, and office buildings, becoming an emblematic example of what we have left behind on the road to progress and modern lifestyles. He dreams of taking his animals to the symbolic heart of industrial Milan.
