Kreislauf des Lebens: Die Gaia-Hypothese

Directed by

Food production, energy, building materials, fashion and much more besides. Reprogram all of it: this is the goal and the theory underlying the circular economy. This simple, yet radical idea draws on nature’s capacity to cyclically renew itself. It also points to sustainable strategies for rethinking global paradigms and the limits of  the world’s resources. The film brings together four experts, among which the centenarian environmentalist-futurist James Lovelock who first proposed the Gaia theory that the Earth is a self-regulating complex system that has evolved over the millennia. A perfect example of how to overcome the anthropogenic crisis and open the way for more equitable and sustainable models of production.
