The quiet life of a farm in the untamed West is threatened by an eviction order which will become effective unless the 750 dollar mortgage is paid within three days. The animals on the farm, led by three go-ahead cows, Mrs. Caloway, Maggie and Grace, decide to start off a journey to find the money. The villain on duty is the greedy outlawed Alameda Slim with no qualms about putting his hands on the farm. According to Walt Disney Pictures best tradition style, Home on the Range is an action and fun-promising feature film hallmarked by Alan Menkel's soundtrack (Aladin, The Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid).
