Ground War
Directed by
Investigating the death of his father from cancer, filmmaker Andrew Nisker learns about a ground war taking place all over North America. A small, but growing, movement is beginning to focus on the use of pesticides in backyards, parks, and playing fields. Places where children play. Science tells us that children are vulnerable to pesticide exposure. But, as Nisker learns, the potential long-term risk from chemicals exposure is a tough message to get across. What chance do we have at creating a safer world for new generations? An investigation into the powerful chemical lobby and the growing movement of citizen activism.
