Rather than enjoy their retirement and tend to their aches and pains, three able-bodied pensioners roam the countryside of Frosinone, south of Rome, which has been marred by illegal dumping sites and abandoned buildings. Gone are the times when one could breath the fresh country air; the air is plagued by the foul odors of toxic waste and illegal dumping, against which the local authorities seem helpless. Concern about and a sense of responsibility toward future generations are good reason to take recourse to halt the damage.
