Genova. Per noi.
Directed by
Genova. Per noi. is the audiovisual document of five Italian film directors on the events occurred in Genoa, during the G8 meeting. The film alternates the comments of some newspaper journalists, who personally experienced the riots, with those of demonstrators and Police spokesmen. It shows marches, beatings up, injured people, burning cars and the policemen's intervention using truncheons, tear gas, hydrants. The images are cruel, straightforward, shocking: pacifists, their hands up, beaten in cold blood; injured people in serious conditions, desperate and moving accounts.
