On July 14th, 2021, a natural disaster took place in the Ahr Valley, in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. There were more than 130 victims. Today, Ahrweiler looks like a ghost town, like a classic scene from a dystopian tale. This is not the first tragedy for Abdo. He was born and raised in Aleppo. He shares the pain of loss, as he is forced to relive his feelings of fear and helplessness.
