EBC 5300m is a film about the Everest Base Camp. Located on a glacier, the camp is assembled and dismantled every year for 2 months. Between guides, cooks, government officials, and guests, it houses around 1000 people. The film, through ambiences, shows camp life and organization and exposes the contrast between this ephemeral micro-city and the wild and mystical environment in which it is located. The film offers a reflection on the emergence of extreme forms of tourism.
