Der Letze Fang

Directed by

An adult red tuna can measure up to over 5 meters in length and weigh about 600 kilograms. It is at risk of extinction due to overfishing in the Mediterranean, its breeding grounds. Many countries now regulate but do not ban red tuna fishing, with the result that its meat has become highly prized, with a record of 5000 euros per kilogram noted at the Tokyo Fish Market in January 2013. But like their catch, also commercial fishermen are at risk of extinction because of the chronic lack of fish and spiraling management costs.
