Cinquanta passi

Directed by

Climate change worries people like Michele Cucchi, alpine guide and rescue team member, for whom the mountain environment is a sacred place. Glacier retreat is bringing to light traces of the past. In today’s world of rapid change, the real challenge is not the conquest of mountain peaks but rather to plan environmental and humanitarian projects for the protection of an increasingly fragile ecosystem. From Karakorum to Zermatt, to the remote Nepalese village Chepwa, together with experts and locals, Cicchi guides us, on a fascinating tour in the search for the past and the need to protect these environments under threat.
