The film investigates the impact of fluorite deposits, production, and the industrial use of fluoride on environmental and human health. The journey starts the at Silius mines in Sardinia, then Veneto, and finally the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, U.K. Testimony and expert accounts relate past environmental disasters, living with the consequences unknown to local populations, the strategies to protect the economic interests of the few against those of the community. Though the damage is irreversible, gradual awareness raising in local communities is key to revealing the truth.
