Capo e croce - Le ragioni dei pastori
Directed by
June 2010. Thousands of shepherds from all over Sardinia staged a resounding protest that would last all summer, invading ports, airports, and streets, marching through the streets of Cagliari, and even occupying the Regional Council building, to seek dignity and a fair price for their main product: milk. Three years later, Marco Antonio Pani and Paolo Carboni take us on a journey to the origins of that protest, describing the reasons and daily lives of those who took part, while also evoking a world that must not and does not want to be reduced to a residual phenomenon, suitable only for ethnographic studies and tourist folklore.
