ArmandoCeste2024

Directed by
This documentary trilogy in split screen consists of footage shot and edited by film director Armando Ceste between 1996 and 2008. It pays homage to the astute view of a film critic and provides occasion to reflect on how political decisions and sociocultural changes have transformed national landscapes. The confiscation of property and goods from the Mafia (Liberaterra), the FIAT crisis (Fiatamlet and Variazioni), grassroots protest and civic strife (Rosso/Askatasuna, Abdellah e i suoi fratelli, Erri De Luca dopo Genova) have left an indelible mark on cities, forever changing their appearance, history, and memory.
