Angst

Directed by

Harkening back to Thoreau's Walden, albeit with typically Portuguese nostalgia, Graça Castanheira guides us on a personal journey to explore the relationship between man and nature. The images of Monument Valley and deep underground mines accompanied by the sounds of nature and the music of a Schubert quartet raise the question as to whether there is still hope for saving our species and our planet.
