Oreste's Hutte, an alpine hut located at 2600 meters above sea level, is unique. Open even during winter, it’s run by the Squinobal family, which has chosen to experience the mountain differently, fully respecting the surrounding habitat. As the film reconstruct the history of the hut, it intertwines with the personal stories of two remarkable brothers: Arturo and Oreste. With their endeavours - from the Aosta Valley to Nepal – they have written some of the most interesting pages of mountaineering history. In a multi-generational dimension, different tales are woven together: the tales of families inhabiting this place and contributing to make it special, while being fully aware of the risks that humankind is causing to the environment.
