biography
È nato a Vienna nel 1956. Maturità nel 1975. Studia teatro all'università di Vienna sino al 1976. Nel 1980 ottiene il diploma di fotografo presso la "Hoheren Bundeslehr-und Versuchsanstalt" di Vienna. Lavora in seguito come fotografo per la stampa e contemporaneamente si occupa di progetti teatrali. Dirige spot pubblicitari e a partire dagli anni Settanta si dedica prevalentemente alla regia. Nel 1992 ha fondato la Cult Filmproduktion. Tra i suoi film ricordiamo: Sehnsuchte - Sudfruchte (1979), Die Hochze.
