Hauser
biography
Berlinese, marinaio durante la Prima guerra mondiale, pilota, giornalista, romanziere, influenzato da Joyce e Conrad, ha realizzato due lungometraggi: Die letzten Segelschiffe (1930) e Weltstadt in Flegeljahren: ein Bericht über Chicago (Metropoli nell'età ingrata: un servizio su Chicago, 1931). Hauser nel 1933 emigrò negli Stati Uniti dove divenne agricoltore, per poi tornare, dopo la guerra, in Germania.
