biography
È nato a S.Vith in Belgio, nel 1944. Si è laureato all'Università di Colonia in Tedesco, Storia e Scienze Politiche. Lavora come reporter televisivo presso la Westdeutscher Rundfunk a Colonia dal 1971. Gert Monheim ha sempre incentrato il suo lavoro su tematiche sociali e politiche. Ha girato numerosi reportage e film per la televisione.
