biography
Laureato in Sociologia e Comunicazione, ha un intenso background di lavoro sul campo, in numerosi progetti di sviluppo nelle aree rurali dell'India e come attivista in difesa delle libertà civili e dell'armonica coesistenza tra comunità di differente credo. Come cineasta ha anche insegnato per brevi periodi al FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) a Pune, alla Scuola Internazionale di Cinema e TV a Cuba e in molte università in Canada. Oltre a questo film ha all'attivo numerosi altri documentari, tra cui ricordiamo soprattutto We are not your monkeys (1996), Father Son and Holy War (1995), In the name of God (1992), Bombay: Our City (1985).
