Yogi and Bubu are two brown bears who make their livelihood by stealing the picnic baskets of the tourists that crowd Jellystone Park, the bears' habitat. Their main foe is ranger Smith who tries to keep the bears away from the tourists. On discovering that Jellystone Park is losing money, mayor Brown decides to close it and sell the land for development. All three are now forced to join alliance; with the help of Rachel, a documentarist, they find a way to save a place of extraordinary natural beauty.
