The Letter: a Message for Our Earth

Directed by

In his Encyclical Letter Laudato Si' Pope Francis addresses the issue of the environment with unprecedented concern and firmness. Every single inhabitant of the world must be held responsible for the impact that human beings have on the planet. This film features an exclusive dialogue between the Pope and four representatives of those 'voices' that too often go unheard at international conferences on the global environmental crisis: a young Senegalese refugee, the voice of the poor; an Amazonian native leader, the voice of indigenous people; an Indian climate activist, the voice of youth; a couple of US scientists, the voice of nature. An exciting and necessary journey, where we are all called upon to protect our common home.
