Strange Beasts
Directed by
The rapid rise and fall of the Bacchus Marsh Lion Safari, created on the outskirts of Melbourne in 1970 and forced to shut down in the mid-80’s, because of several fatal incidents caused by lions attacking the visitors. The story of this place, which has been wrapped in the mystery for years, is now narrated by Ron "Prenda" Prendergast, the father of the director, who worked at the time as a keeper for the felines and was a direct witness of a piece of local history that has become a legend.
