Gundremmingen is a small town in Bavaria and Choczewo is a small town in Poland on the Baltic. The former has a closed atomic power plant, while the latter will have Poland’s first planned to go into operation by 2033. The locals of both towns are involved in heated debate. Emotions rise in the clash between contrasting opinions, certainties and uncertainties about nuclear energy, which has gained renewed interest since the start of the Russian-Ukraine war and the continuing climate and economic crisis.
