River • Town

Directed by

The Chinese government is planning to restructure the hydroelectric plants on the Jinsha River. Many of the people who have lived along the river for generations will have to leave their homes and move to another city in the hope of a better future. A way of life handed down from generation to generation will disappear: the final image is that of a river broken in two and a city destined to vanish, an elegy to things past.
