Ortobello. Primo concorso di bellezza per orti

The Casa del Gufo Senior Citizens’ Center is holding “Ortobello”, a garden competition. Competing to win the prize are: Peppino, age 84 years and widower for the past 20; Guido, age 90, former truck driver and smoker when his wife isn’t looking; and Luciano, best bet and efficient planter harvester. What emerges as the men reminisce on times past or go about their gardening chores is the tie between man and nature, the one fading the other maturing with time, transforming the personal experience of these men into a universal tale of collective memory.
