Starting from an extreme case, Noi ci siamo già raises several pressing questions about the real possibility of a completely eco-friendly lifestyle and renewable energy policies. When back in the early 1980s Jimmy and Simona decided to move to San Godenzo in the Tuscan Apennines, a pristine rugged area reached by a by 9 km foot trail, they were determined to live with nature, respecting the environment and using only renewable energy supplied by photovoltaic panels and perhaps a pedal-driven washing machine. Now, 27 years and two children later, they face an unexpected problem: the Region of Tuscany has plans to build a wind turbine farm in their backyard.
