Linea 7000

Directed by

A journey across Italy to discover natural parks, regional and national, with their unique and beautiful environments. This documentary comes from the idea of journalist and mountaineer Gianluca Gasca and follows the hiking route called Sentiero Italia CAI. The trail covers 7850 kilometers across the entire nation, from the Alps and the Appennines to the two largest islands, Sicily and Sardinia.

Gianluca himself walks the route while conveying his passion and stressing the importance of using public transport to cross some parts of the trail, a concept that the original founders of the project also supported. This could be a way to make hiking even more sustainable and to prevent many mountain areas of our country from being abandoned.
