Life of Pi

Directed by

Pi is an Indian boy who grew up in a zoo owned by his father. To overcome financial difficulties, the father decides to migrate to Canada with his family, sell the animals, and seek a new livelihood. But when the freighter sinks in a storm, Pi finds he is the only human survivor, besides Richard Parker, the zoo’s prize Bengal tiger, which he must somehow tame if he wants to stay alive while adrift in the lifeboat. Based on Yann Martel’s novel of the same name and winner of four Oscars, including Best Director.
