Lessons from One Small Town

Directed by

This short and interesting documentary shows how the citizens of Treviso, young and old, rely on bicycles for transportation. Through still photographs and audio interviews, Watson shows how cycling can enrich the community and also one's health. The simplicity and emotional tone of the video is aimed to inspire more people to choose bikes instead of cars.

«Lessons from One Small Town was created [...] during a short stay at FABRICA (Bernetton group communications research center). I was inspired by the bicycling community of Treviso and decided that making a film about cycling could inspire more people in my home town to ride bikes. Using just a still camera and a basic audio recorder, I set out to make a simple and beautiful film».
