A unique oasis in the Mediterranean, Chinini, one of Tunisia's natural paradises, is in danger: sinking aquifer levels threaten the water supply on which agriculture depends; new cement works and chemical plants pose a risk to the area's extraordinary biodiversity, forcing the local population to move elsewhere. Narrated by a little girl, the film tells the story of Kamel, a young farmer who uses biological farming methods, and an active member of an association that promotes the protection of rural economy and the survival of the oasis.
