Since last year, partly because of the Covid-19 pandemic, bicycling in Mexico City has increased considerably, indicating a possible solution to the city’s chronic traffic problem. However, the lack of bike lanes and the lack of awareness of sustainable mobility have led to an increase in accidents and injuries. Three cyclists give an account of what it’s like to ride in one of the world’s most crowded and polluted cities.
