La città bianca

Directed by

Eternit is a registered trademark of fiber cement patented in 1901, which also lends its name to the Belgian company that produces it. This multinational opened a facility in Casale Monferrato in 1917, contaminating the entire surrounding area and poisoning its residents with asbestos dust released into the atmosphere from its chimneys, resulting in 1,600 deaths over the years. A tragic story that ended only a century later with a historic court ruling.
