La cité durable

Directed by

Increased urbanization and decreased availability of natural resources have led to a radical rethinking of building design and construction. Finding sustainable solutions occupies the minds of urban designers, architects, engineers, and politicians. In this European tour with stopovers in Paris, London, Stuttgart and Wageningen, Vercoutère interviews prominent architects (Norman Foster, Will Aslop, François Tirot, Laurent-Marc Fisher, Werner Sobek and Stefan Benish) and visits their innovative projects in order to reflect on the future of our cities. The film presents a state of the art of eco-friendly architecture in Europe.
