Il tempo delle api

Directed by

On discovering that South American beekeepers are experimenting with methods that prioritize the bees and their health, Mauro and Valerio take on the arduous challenge of repeating the experiments in Italy. Filmed over a 3-year period on a farm in the Castelli Romani, the documentary tells the story of the two beekeepers and their attempt to maintain the bee colonies by using organic rather than traditional methods. Technical problems earnestly test their experiment and even their friendship, revealing the serious difficulties beekeepers face today.
