ICAM: 300 giorni

Directed by

After a fire razed the ethylene factory ICAM in Priolo, Sicily, in 1985, the plant was rebuilt in a record 11 months thanks to considerable technological skills, the joint collaboration of many Italian companies, and the efforts of the ENI workers. After collaborating on Joris Ivens' L'Italia non è un paese povero (1960) Paolo and Vittorio Taviani and Valentino Orsini rejoined to make this interesting documentary. Also working on the film were Tonino Guerra, who wrote the screenplay, and the musician Lucio Dalla, who arranged the music for the film.
