Hare for Hunting

Directed by

Today an endangered species in western Europe, the hare's main threat to survival there is organized hunting. In many European countries hares are captured live and shipped to France and Italy, where they are served up as prey to voracious hunters. This lucrative market, estimated at 10 million euros a year, provides hunters with victims fitted with expensive radar-sensitive collars so that each and every hare can eventually be tracked down.
