Gente d'Alpe
Directed by
The Alpe di Succio on the main crest of the Apennines between Tuscany and Emilia: a crossroads of history and individual destinies that defy stereotyping, more the offspring of an ideology than of reality. The film tells the stories of a woman who raises a daughter while tending her flocks; a shepherd's son coping with an existential crisis; Italian rock star Giovanni Lindo Ferretti who writes poetry and breeds horses: people who have made a conscious lifestyle choice and are determined to survive in a rugged environment that merits protection.
