Fukushima: Les voix silencieuses

Directed by

The radioactivity around Fukushima is gradually fading from the local residents' memory. Six years after the nuclear disaster, a young Japanese filmmaker returns to her hometown to talk with her family, who lives only 60 km away from the so-called 'Voluntary Evacuation Zone', about the catastrophe that has become a taboo.Interrogations, doubts, fears, and feelings of sadness, never before frankly discussed, open a family debate that goes on to involve the people who live in one of the earth's most radioactive places. Apocalyptic images give way to genuine, human stories.
