From the Wild Sea

Directed by

As winter approaches, an army of volunteers throughout Europe, particularly in Ireland and the Netherlands, begins to prepare for the hardships ahead. They work day and night to rescue sea and coastal animals from the effects of oil and plastic pollution and from the increasingly violent storms unleashed by climate change. The visually intense narration of the animals, their habitats, and the volunteers’ efforts to save them reveals the ambivalent relationship between modern society and ecosystems, the complex, unresolved conflict between man and nature.
