Freedom Fuels

Directed by

Having become a widespread reality for several years now, plant-based fuels such as ethanol and biodiesel represent the most viable alternative to gasoline and coal, not only ecologically, due to their virtually zero environmental impact—even in the case of biodiesel, they allow the disposal of otherwise unusable waste oil—but also economically, given their easy availability and low prices. It's no coincidence that in the United States, even today, efforts are being made to keep this incredible resource hidden, thus favoring large multinational oil companies, in the usual intertwining of political power and economic interests. With Freedom Fuels, Martin O'Brien, drawing on the expertise of exceptional spokespeople such as Daryl Hannah and legendary country singer Willie Nelson, conducts an interesting and thorough exploration of a still little-known world, one with an incredibly innovative and revolutionary potential, capable of providing more than one solution to some of the most serious problems of our time.
