Accounts of injuries, nightmares, physical and psychological stress endured until retirement compose a portrait the slaughterhouse, where animals are killed and their carcasses cut up; a portrait of the people working in the meat processing industry. An alienating, repetitive job at the border between life and death, executed with repetitive movements – cutting, eviscerating, transporting – that continue outside the slaughterhouse and create a macabre choreography of mimical precision. For the sake of our obsession with productivity that risks transforming humans into machines.
