Donne al centro

Directed by

The center on Via Le Chiuse is a small urban ecosystem where stories speak of change and acceptance. Three young women share how their stories took shape in this hive that supports life as a common good. Gathered in the intimacy of the workshop, where contact with clay dissolves every defense, they remind us that people are not meant to be alone, but to live together and support one another.

The film is part of the RUTA project.

About the Movie Donne al centro

RUTA is a summer school dedicated to training young authors and filmmakers in environmental documentary filmmaking. In the first edition of 2021, eight participants from very diverse backgrounds were selected to work in pairs over a two-month period. The production of the short films focused on exploring and applying the concept of sustainability in an urban context, specifically in the San Donato neighborhood of Turin.

RUTA is organized by the elvira Cultural Association, in collaboration with the A come Ambiente Museum and the CinemAmbiente Festival. This first edition was produced as part of the MAPS project, thanks to the support of the CivICa Call for Proposals from the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation.

The school was coordinated by Beatrice Surano and Francesco Dragone, with the valuable assistance of Gaetano Capizzi, Angelo D’Agostino, Lorenzo Crippa, Irene Ameglio, Antonio Castagna, Lia Furxhi, Giovanni Mauriello, Sofia Nadalini, Giulia Scintu, Morena Terranova, Luca Vigliani and the technical support of Base Zero.
