Throughout rural Italy, there are people who are committed to working the land, independently, efficaciously, and sustainably by appling age-old techniques and knowledge. It might seem folly to ignore modern agricultural methods, yet many do just that. Who are they? Do they turn a profit? What methods do they use? Why is their work necessary? A tour of Italy to talk with farmers, researchers, doctors, and university professors about back-to-roots-farming and ecological stewardship. This documentary is part of a series entitled Viaggio tra Terra e Cielo, which, through the Web and video, has come to theaters.
